My Girl, Casey

Casey is amazing. She has grown up so much and is such a joy to be around. She's cute and funny, responsible and just plain cute!

Here's an example. (Anne, you can't repeat this!)

Recently our Branch President's (church leader)boys have moved into town. Upon learning this Casey began squealing randomly all day, for days. And she hadn't even seen a picture of them! "White boys!" she would squeal. "Casey, they're half Filipino." I would counsel her. "So - they're American!" And so it went. The boys got here and she was not dissapointed. Cute they are. (Ages 16, 14 and 12)

So, Casey is into photography. She's really quite talented. You should check out her Facebook to see some of her shots. Anyway, she practically lives in the photoroom at school, developing in the dark room, working on projects, working on yearbook, or helping newer students.

This week her teacher Mr. Ubl (pronounce ooo - bull) said they might have a work-day on Friday -meaning after school. Casey had set up plans on Sunday to have the boys over Friday night. She immediately went to Mr. Ubl and told him. "I can't come Friday. I have a chance to finally get a boyfriend and I can't mess it up!" :) :) Such honesty. Such amazing honesty. LOL

Ubl, the kind teacher he is (not) told her he didn't care about her social life and he would see about the work day. It was announced a few days later that there would indeed be a work day on Friday. Casey immediately announced not that she couldn't go, but that she won't go. That's that. A possible boyfriend is a possible boyfriend!
