For the first time EVER we hosted our own Christmas Eve seafood Feast. We invited friends from the embassy over and had a great time. In this picture are the Cabahuts and one of our local missionaries. It was fun to hear the missionaries talk. They are so used to speaking very simple, broken English. They really had to stretch their skills to talk to all our American friends!

Here is our other table. (We had about 30 people in all.) You can see Marcus on the left in the grey shirt. Mark is on the right in the green shirt behind our friend Dave Kloesel. Casey is bottom right. Marcus' old girlfriend (she's in college now), Ashley is sitting beside Marcus.

Once again my family is awesome. Here they are cleaning up after the Eve party. Rocking out and cleaning. What wonderful kids (and husband!) What a great team we make! (And this was BEFORE they knew that they were getting Rock Band!)

The day after Christmas we had a great time with friends we knew from Beijing. The Zimmermans are currently assigned to the embassy in Manila. Brian is one of Marcus' two best friends. He is also my adopted kid. -Marcus' brother from another mother. : ) Brian hates to have his pic taken and is cautioning me against it. Yeah right. I'm your mom!

In case you were wondering why Brian and Marcus are at such a weird angle it's because their feet and legs were submerged in this. A fish tank! These little cleaner fish supposedly eat the dead skin off your feet, or the hair on your legs in Mark and Marcus' case. :) We go because it's fun to hear our friends giggle and squeal until they get used to the sensation. It's really fun.


Here's what it's like to try and get used to the fish nibbling you. Sarah is Brian's sister. The funny thing is, she'd been sitting with her feet in the tank for over 20 minutes when this was taken. She just couldn't get over the tickling feeling! It was so cute! Beside her is her mom, Debbie.
