This quote is referring to what happened on Christmas Eve. I work at the APO, I picked up this mail. I got to take some really strong preventitive meds until today, January 6, when lab work returned from the CDC in the U.S. stating that,
"The samples were negative for the causative agents of anthrax (Bacillus anthracis), brucellosis (Brucella spp.), plague (Yersinia pestis), tularemia (Francisella tularensis), melioidosis (Burkholderia pseudomallei), glanders (Burkholderia mallei), and smallpox (Variola major).
In addition, the sample was found to be negative for the biotoxins ricin and staphylococcal enterotoxin B, "

Upon return to work on Dec 30 we were informed that there would be a protest at our embassy at 11am. The Malaysians wanted to show their solidarity for their Muslim brothers in Palestine, so they were protesting our government. As a lady told a friend of mine, "Because your government controls Israel." Funny note, they started on Malaysian time - 11:30.

Ah, the holidays overseas. The memories we'll miss. Not. :)

Being overseas is a scary thought for me. When will you be back in the states? You know Eric is in the Philippines and I always think of your family because you are closer to him than me:) Have a great day!!!
It is scary sometimes, but other times it's great, and really fun.
We are a hop, skip and jump from Eric. We have friends that have to to the P in the past week. 3 sets actually! It's our closest temple too.
