Getting on with life

Mark is leaving for Virginia on Saturday. I am sad. I've loved having him around so much. But I am happy. He has been blessed with a job he will enjoy. He's mostly done with his packing list and most of the handyman jobs in the house. Tonight he admitted that now he's getting butterflies about the move. Me too. But then, I've had them for a while. :) I really depend on him a lot, and soon he'll be gone, at least not in the near vicinity to help me regain my sanity quickly. :)

I know, with the Lord's help I can do it. And with my kids, and my sister, and my friends. But - I can't hug any of them when I feel the urge. :)

On to more upbeat things.
Almost everytime we use our broiler our smoke alarm goes off. Benjamin was in charge of fanning it the last time to get it to stop. He came up with an ingenius way of calming the screeching airs. . .
It's pretty cool you can fly a paper airplane with the invention too. :)

My niece is having her wedding reception in August. We went with her to her dress fitting as Kelly (my sister) wanted my 'expertise' in sewing and alterations. Isn't Taylor beautiful!
Luckily only hemming was needed, as the bodice would have been a bear with all the beading.
During the fitting the party stayed entertained with Crew. He's such an easy-going baby. And he has rolls for all of us to share!

Enjoy your summer folks!

Send Mark our good luck wishes. Sorry to hear you'll be apart for so long. It's never fun to be away from your Friends, especially if you're married to one of them ;)

Jeremy will be in DC in October. They'll have to meet up for dinner and talk about how much they miss us!
