Do you hear what I hear? It's a new year!

What an interesting ear! It belongs to our newest family member, Starz Frostbite, aka Frosty!

We adopted Frosty for Mark's Birthday. He was so surprised!! More on that later. (I have to get the video from Casey's computer of him opening gifts.) Frosty is a retired greyhound. He's 3.5 years old and the kids love him. Above you can see his ear tatoo. We can look it up and see his racing history! You can see his lineage at this link. Interestingly enough, it says he's never raced! (http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?d=Starz+Frostbite&sex=m&color=&birthyear=200x&birthland ) His other ear has a tattoo that tells of his birthday and litter number. There were at least 8 in his litter. He likes soft toys. Here he is cuddling with his teddy bear.

He hangs out with us all the time. Here he is napping with Mark and Marcus on a Sunday afternoon.

He shares nicely. Here the boys are -Jordan in his cage, Benjamin tying it closed.

Benjamin has learned how to knit and got a loom to make hats. Mark and I have also learned. Here the boys are, knitting hats.

Frosty doesn't seem too thrilled with the hat. But at least Ben made modifications to help it stay on!

Here's our birthday boy. Since we had eaten soo much rich foods for the holidays he asked for an angel food cake with a berry topping. It was very yummy!

We had a freaky weather day this last week. It was beautiful and about 50 degrees. When we came out from shopping the wind was blowing sand everywhere. Within 5 minutes the temperate had dropped 12 degrees and it was snowing! here's a pic of the snow. I think it was a mixture of snow and hail. Soft, but in small clumps and balls.
