Not about Casey. :)

Casey mentioned that she really liked soft pretzels (compared to the hard ones we have bought) and I told her that I knew how to make them, and would teach her. Here are the pretzels after the dough has risen and we have shaped them. The ones with the bits in them have jalapeno in them. Yum!
After baking for 4 minutes @ 450 we then boiled them in salty water.
The boiling made them look kinda slimy, but they rose even more during the boiling process.

Frosty fits right in with our family. He's always in the kitchen! If we're there, he thinks he should be too.

Our pretzels turned out great. Sorry I forgot to take a picture. We had some troubles as we accidently turned the oven off, so were kinda distracted by the time they finally finished baking.
We got Frosty some new toys today as he's chewed up his old ones pretty good. They came in a 3-pack (love Costco!) and he decided he needed to play with all 3 at once!

Did I mention that I love Costco? I really do love being back in the U.S.
Ben and his buddy Cody wanted to go shopping with Mark and I today. I was against the idea, but Mark didn't see the harm in it. So I gave in.
Here are my cart "gunners". They sucessfully shot about half the crowd in Costco today. This is their first position. The next was Ben faced the front and Cody the back. Then they faced the front together. After tiring of sniping they then raced and slid on their knees down the aisle. About 50 times. Then they tested Frosty's new toys by dragging each other (on the knees of course) around in circles as close to other customers as possible. Then they tried all the samples, at least once. They are happy together, but I hope Mark will think twice about inviting them to shop with us again! But - I did feel I had an advantage with my own gunners on my cart.!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Those pretzels look awesome. We'll have to try them out.

We have a Costco here in Japan, which has been great for American stuff. It's still dang expensive.

Recipe comes directly from the Better Homes and Garden cookbook. The addition of awesome jalapenos is purely mine. :0) If you don't have the B&G cookbook I'll send you the recipe later!
