The Day After

We took the temporary cast off today so Casey could take a shower. Here are the pieces.

The "green" goes about 4-5 inches up her leg, above her ankle.

Comparison shot.

Front shot. (The white is from the ultrasound. At the house the paramedics couldn't get a heart beat in her foot. At the ER they ultrasounded it and found it.)

"Colorful" shot. here you can really appreciate the damage through the myriad of colors.

While in tears from the pain the first night, Casey is doing MUCH better and on much less meds the second day. Whew! She got crutches today and is learning how to move around on them. Good thing for Mark and Marcus who have been carrying her up and down the stairs! Jordan has been the best nurse/brother. He anticipates and waits on Casey like I never would have expected. It's so nice to see them caring for each other.

That looks SO painful. Glad to hear she's in great spirits! It's so nice to have helpful siblings.
