Hotel life

Oh what do you do in the Summertime, when all your stuff is packed?...

Do you play in the pool, to keep yourself cool, or make wacky hair wars?

Do you hang out with buds?

Or hang out on walls? Is that what you do? So do I!

This week saw the last of our house responsibilities. The painters showed up to return our walls to their original white. They made themselves right at home. Notice their clothing laying all over the desks? We don't mind. It will take at LEAST 3 coats of paint to cover the boys' rooms. :)

With the painters came their transport. Scooters are a great transport here. They are cheap to operate, and they are GREAT in traffic. One of these scooters is Mark's.

They provide easy parking space. Though it's not usually as crowded as this.

And they allow those of us needing laundry service to DIY. Yes, we drove in public, on the freeway with our laundry sandwiched between us! The hotel doesn't have laundry facilities but our house still did. While on the way back on the freeway I kept feeling something brush past my arm. I was thinking we were leaving a trail of laundry on the freeway, but I couldn't see anything. (I also couldn't turn my neck very far. It's stiff from a hard hotel bed.) Finally I figured out that we weren't leaving a trail of laundry (thank goodness!) but it was my backpack's strap. Whew!

This was in the garage at the hotel. We call it Mark's other ride. :) When we visited some friend's at their apartment there were at least 3 Ferraris and a Lamborghini! Talk about cool rides!

We leave in 3 days! We are excited to start a new chapter in our lives, but nervous too. Wish us luck!
