Our hearts aren't fragile at the moment, but more excited. An end to one era and the beginning to another!!At our hotel we get to experience TV! We haven't had cable in Malaysia, we didn't find anything worth the cost, plus we had the 3 military channels through AFN (Armed Forces Network) and that was sufficient.
So, Casey is excitedly flipping through channels a show called Dirty, Sexy, Money is on. Once we figure out that's what the show is we change immediately. We see a show with what looks like Muslim "preachers" come on. This dude looks like Mike Meyers! What do you think?
When we realize that there is nothing else on we flip back to "Mike." Mike is not on, but there's another guy. It's all in Arabic. Funny, they don't speak that here in Malaysia. They only learn Arabic to recite the Koran. But the show is fun to watch for the camera angles...
First they start at his elbow...
The next shot they start across the room then gradually get to the host.
Then they zoom in on background. There's a desert shot, mosque shot, a geometric pattern shot, again with the turban guy and the shiny table shot. Casey is immensely enjoying herslef and says, "At least they understand that they need to change the camera angle to keep them interested. Time to change...!"I went to the doctor's for my last check up. With the H1N1 virus they are taking more precautions. A guard asks me, "Do you have a fever?" After I state the negative he then puts this sticker on my arm. I am now 'safe.' Don't you feel safer now? I should get some of these for my emergency supplies. You never know...
The kids' boss, (and our friends) took us out to Chili's for dinner. As we were waiting for our dinner a duo of Tibetan monks come up the escalator. They spot us sitting in the restaurant and discretely position themselves in front of us to take a pic. When the second one is in position he looks back at us and tells us "Very good!" and gives us the thumbs up. Nice to know we qualify for that category. I wonder how many photo albums our family is now in. While in Malaysia we really haven't really had to be in too many background/scenery pictures like we were in China. It was a nice reminder to know that here, we are special. :)
In order, Mark, Chuck, Marcus, Casey/Ben, Jordan, Taz, Me. Maslin is taking the picture. On the way back to our hotel from dinner Mark thought it would be fun to pause every few minutes and just pose in the mall. Here is their first and last post. Jordan needs to work on his, but it is natural looking! :)

I'm glad you guys are excited for your next adventure! Enjoy the fame while you can...you won't be part of any stranger's photo albums any more. :( It's almost weird to walk in public places and not be stared at.
This post was SO funny. I want to pose with you guys!
Hey, I LOVE AFN.....not. I have some pretty funny stories myself of my shopping trip yesterday. Look for them soon. I wish I was going back to the states... :(
