My apologies for missing a week or two. I've been busy! Here's some random stuff that's been happening in our lives. . .
This was on our kitchen floor Saturday. We thought it quite a juxtaposition of products. One measures blood glucose, the other increases it. :)

Benjamin was introduced to geneology by one of his classroom moms. He was fascinated by it. He wanted to work on ours and find out who we were related to. He even came home and told me how he got to know our relatives a bit better. "Joan of Arc was really Joanne" he told me. Here he's taken out my family scrapbook and is making notes.
Here he has drawn out part of my family tree to take to school and share with the class.

This is where he was writing down all the names first.

The kids thought this Dominoe's pizza box was the bomb.
Marcus' school had a big graduation dinner at the Renaissance Hotel. Marcus didn't want to participate. Instead he invited over a few close friends and we made his favorite dinner, baked reubens. He was blessed in that both his best buddies here have parents who don't understand all the hubub over highschool graduation. One is from Serbia, and the other from Germany. Highschool is like grammar school to them. You celebrate after college! Here's Marcus with his girlfriend, Emma and Casey in the kitchen.

We have a tradition in our family that EVERYONE helps cook. Here Alex is picking basil for our salad.
Here Benjamin and Jordan are helping. And goofing off. They are so funny together, always laughing, wrestling, playing. Even in the kitchen, which sometimes isn't a good idea. It was probably Jordan's idea to tie Ben to him, but at least they weren't bouncing around in the kitchen!
Here Chris is helping me try and find a recipe for German french fry salt. Because he's German, he had to translate some sites for me. Unfortunately we couldn't find the recipe, but we tried!
This week our packers come! I'm looking forward to having this over and getting some rest soon!
Last week we (Casey, Jordan and I) did Youth Conference. We returned on Thursday and on Friday Casey had her first day of work at the embassy and I taught the guy at the cafeteria how to make Mexican food. (It was a success and we sold out!) This coming week I have orders for about 15 loaves of bread before packers come on Wednesday. On Tuesday we move into the hotel. I'm so thankful the Lord has given me the opportunity and the ability to run. Now I just need to learn how to slow down! :)

Your kids are so fun! I am so excited to have you back in the states!
Benjamin can come and do my family history when he is done with yours. Do you lend your kids out?
I absolutely lend them out! He's free for the next few weeks after his summer rock climbing classes. Want him? :)
