Fun times at Engleton Court

Not long ago we celebrated Mother's Day. What makes me happiest as a mother? To see my children happy. No really. It's true. That - and some quiet time to read a book - and a clean house. :)

Mark sent me this lovely arrangement all the way from Afghanistan. Kinda ruins the surprise though when I can see the charge on the bank account. :) Love you baby. Thanks.

Jordan often would accompany Ben to football practice - in case he got hurt a family member would be there. I was at home cooking dinner one night when this picture came to my phone... Not from Jordan's phone, but an unknown number. My reply - "What an awesome war-wound!" Ben came home 30 minutes later. His coach had sent me the picture. I wonder what he thought of my response? :)

My awesome sister Kelly helped me install a new light fixture in the dining room. It's beautiful! And - she got it at a yard sale for $20! Did I mention that my sister was awesome?

Casey had prom. Did you know that green counteracts red (as in red zits)? Yep. Her expert makeup cousin, Taylor, educated her in the ways of beauty for prom.

I woke up to Casey's last morning of school to this. What is she so happy about? Why does Phillip (her boyfriend) have his shirt off at 6:30 in the morning?

What is Marcus concentrating so hard on?

Ah ha! Casey - the coolest girlfriend EVER - fashioned this art on Phillip's back for his last swim meet. I made her get permission from his mom first. Can you imagine if the mom WASN'T cool with this? Yeah, I didn't want to deal with an irrate mom. But - she gave permission and Phillip garnered much awe and attention at the last swim meet doing the 50 meter fly. He won.

Pizza night again. This night there were only 7 pizzas. The rectangular one on the end is known as the "epic" pizza. I'll try and upload video of the making of it later. Suffice it to say there were cheeseburgers, onion rings and bacon involved.

The video has been edited. Here is the link for your viewing pleasure. :)

This is my funky Casey in a self portrait. We need to work on the posing.

Casey and Phillip getting ready for prom.

I call this a Maxine pose. The eyes run in the family. :)

I know, it's blurry. They were in a rush. Casey was supposed to be ready by 5:30. She got home from work at 4:45 and jumped into the shower. She got out and Phillip called. They were going to pick her up at 5. 5! Taylor rushed with the makeup while Phillip and his Mom waited downstairs. I didn't get out Casey's good camera because it was 5:35 when she was finally done. I know. I know. I'll see if Phillip's mom got some good shots with HER camera. But - Casey was in a good mood!

The happy couple. My sister said she had "Presidential wife hair!" Lol

The End.

Love the dress (and the presidential hair!). Nice tattoo. Way to give him the "edge" for his big race. I hope it washed off easily!
