Benjamin gave us our lesson for Family Home Evening. (Once a week we have a lesson - either scripturally or otherwise.) Benjamin assigned the prayers, songs and gave the lesson. He chose the Book of Mormon story, Samuel the Lamanite. Samuel stood high on a city wall and preached to the people. They weren't happy about it and shot arrows at him. But Samuel was protected by the Lord and arrows and stones could not hit him. Benjamin had us read the cooresponding verses, elaborated on them and then commenced with the activity portion of the lesson. "Jordan, get the machine gun." Jordan obliged and out came the automatic nerf machine gun. "Mom, hold still." Jordan is a bad shot. He got a little better with Dad. And stayed with the same proficiency with Casey and Marcus.
We all learned that Samuel must have been very brave indeed. And he didn't have Nerf bullets whizzing at him!
Jordan - "I think I should play football at school. I see goal posts in the ceiling. It's a sign." Maybe the football team would take him. They only lost 47-6 this last week. It couldn't hurt.

random yet very insightful all at the same time... great fhe lesson... so glad he had courage in HIS MOTHER to stand before the wrath of the nerf "bullets"... hopefully you made a good dinner and didn't ground anybody before the "action" commenced... that perhaps would of helped or hindered the aim....
Thanks for sharing... LOVE YOU!
still laughing
Totally fun. I'll do it with Jeremy next FHE.
