Family February

So I've slowed down for the moment and realized I can finally catch up on the blog!

I'm still trying to figure out my schedule here in Virginia. But I'm getting closer. I think. :)

First, my sister Kimmy got married!!!!

She says he's a great guy. Same story from my 'rents. But I wish I could have been there for the wedding! Ryan (that's my new BIL's name) is off in Russia now for school. Cool, but a bummer for Kim. I'm so happy for her!

Ben, always the source of entertainment in our home. :) I recovered our dining chairs and Ben just had to have the extra foam. Why? He couldn't really tell me. This was his creation (with the help of Jordan) after a few days. Duct tape and foam! Mark and Jordan tested the cushioning effect later with their swords. Ben says he didn't feel ANYTHING (besides his head bouncing around from the blows) but funny, he's not put this nifty helmet back on since that first test flight. :) 

Jordan got his first black eye. I was so worried. But I guess when you pull out someone's chair from under them in a dark classroom things can happen back at you. He wasn't that worried. I was. 

Because I knew it would look like this in a few days!

Ben again. Could you tell?

Did you know we have a solar-powered dog? Yep. Sure do. The thing is, he tries to "power-up" ALL the time. In the sun, out of the sun. In the middle of the room. He's just always charging. I think his battery must not hold a charge very well. :)

But- he IS alert when it comes to pizza.



Why a picture of an empty room when the post is about family? This is art. It's representational. Feel the space. The cheap pine furniture. The thin mattress. What does it say to you?

Okay fine. It represents the fact that Casey moved out. She now has a roommate. The boys quickly vacated their room and turned it into a game room. Our family/home seems so small now. And quiet.
