We have moved! We now call Virginia home. I will try to update the blog (thank goodness for date-stamping on digital pictures!) this week.
We moved to Virginia so that our family could be together. Ironically - Marcus then left home. :( He now resides in West Virginia with Uncle Louie and Aunt Sherri while working labor jobs, earning money for school which he will start in December/January. We are so proud of him! Here he is with Casey on their way to WV. Casey went and visited for a week then came back for her job here at Chipotle. Doesn't Casey look like a chipper driving companion?!
Walking the dog must occur wherever you live. Ben had the great idea that he didn't have to hold Frosty's leash. Here's hoping Frosty doesn't see a rabbit...!
Frosty is loving his new deck and 1/2 acre yard. He has learned from Casey how to sun himself whenever the opportunity presents itself.
We are trying to avail ourselves of the many cultural opportunities all around us. Here we are at a free open-air concert in Reston. The Army band was great!
Ah of course - did you really think I could post without a mention of food?!! Here's a GREAT recipe for yummy popsicles. I know, watermelon is almost out of season, but these are sooooo good! Of course with a sweet watermelon you can cut the sugar in half. I was at the doctor's office when I found this recipe. Thank goodness I have a camera on my phone!
Jordan and I toured his school. This was the first photo-worthy thing I found. Really - an ice-cream vending machine! Now how are they supposed to get their work done with brain-freeze?!
Jordan is really starting to work on his muscles these days.
As we walked around the school (it's pretty old!) I mentioned the colored lines running around for directions. Jordan said they were just like those in the book Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Except these don't light up. If you can, click on the picture and blow up the pic. You can see not only are their lines but room designations. Very cool. Sure helped Mark and I at Back To School Night!
We got the chance to have dinner with a bunch of old friends from Mark's office in Beijing. It was neat to see so many. We could only think of 2-3 that were missing, out of the 35 that were in the office during our tour! The food was fantastic - Beijing standard! The fortune cookies lacked though. This really isn't my fortune. It's just fact. :)

Frosty is such a patient and loving dog. I hope you give him a crap load of treats. I think my german shepherd would take Ben on a serious road trip if her collar was tied around his waist.
