What's up these days...

It's seems like it's been a while.
Betcha you're wondering what new adventures and escapades we've been up to.

Sit back and enjoy the narrative for a few minutes please.

Casey is on her 3rd week with a cast-like attachment. We say cast-like because after 2 weeks the docs cut off the glow-in-the dark cast and replaced it with a boot. The boys call it her Master Chief boot. Now, who can tell me where Master Chief comes from? The boys will also sometimes 'pump it up' with the inflatible bladder. So cool.

Something that Casey has learned though - Skinny jeans are not good inside an inflatable/adjustable boot.

Ben had an awesome science fair project. He tested a covered and uncovered water bottle to see which would stay the warmest the longest. A score of 96 showed he knew his stuff! He was amazing creating the bar graphs on Excel and setting timers and testing every 10 minutes for almost 3 hours. The results? They both kept and lost heat at the same rate. But the surprising finding (for me) was the fact that the uncovered water bottle kept a higher temperature.
Great job Ben!

Ben's really into science.

Valentine's Day also happened to be on Chinese New Year this year. Happy Year of the Tiger everyone! As is our tradition - we invited some friends over and made jiaozi (pork-filled dumplings). They were yummy and we all had a good time. The girl to the left of Marcus is his girlfriend, Sheila.

Yes, we even make the boys help. The Garcia boys were actually very good at making dumplings! The boy in the front-left is Casey's boyfriend, John.
Gong Xi Fa Cai (Happy New Year) everyone!
