Benjamin has been in Circus Arts all year long as an afterschool activity. This week they performed for the entire school!
The kids learn about a variety of circus skills and then have to compete to be on the teams. Benjamin was on the ladder team. This is him leaving the stage.
And this is him at the top of the ladder. The first performance the kid below let go! He deftly jumped down and no one even knew he had saved himself!
The kids were taught to ham it up. Tha wasn't a problem for our Benjamin! If they made a mistake, they were also taught to laugh it off and keep going!
Pictures can't do justice to the way Ben was jammin' on the stilts. He was dancing, hopping on one stilt and really having a good time!
Benjamin was selected to be a mime and stand at the entrance to the show, and freeeze in place every 30 seconds. He is standing on a 4 ft. tall box right outside the entrance here. He had the coolest costume. Of course I made it. : ) Under his pants he had a second pair that was all gold -to make them sparkle. After the first dress rehearsal he came home and his legs were covered in gold! LOL
He was also a 'regular' clown and helped with the unicycles in their act. It was a good year all in all for our Ben!

hahaha...yeah, i can't imagine ben enjoyed this at ALL. :)
