Happy Birthday Jordan! (Aka - Whack that ball!)

This week we celebrated Jordan's 14th birthday! It went off with a smash!

Since Jordan's birthday was on Wednesday we just had a family dinner and cake. He had a sleepover on Friday with friends. Look at all those candles!!

First, Jordan received a modem for his computer. This made him VERY happy. Before this he had to drag a very long orange network cable out of the office and into the dining room to plug into his computer if he wanted internet. Now, viola! He's wireless! We also got him a new battery, so he doesn't have to be plugged in all the time. His old battery didn't do much except show it was charging. Once unplugged it would lose power in 10 minutes.

We also got Jordan a phone. Rather we refurbished my old one and put money on it. But now he has a phone again!

Casey made a large print of an underwater shot she did of him at the pool.

With all the electronic stuff, we felt the need for some good ol'fashioned fun for Jordan. Enter... The TETHER BALL!!

It was fun seeing him try to figure out what exactly could be in this large box.

This is a cupcake Jordan got at school for his birthday. He thought it looked like a face. He liked the cake, but was chagrined to learn that his Spanish teacher had found out about his birthday and used the opportunity to teach the class "Happy Birthday" in Spanish. (That's what you get when your buddy's mom is your Spanish teacher!)

Benjamin found that the box made him very tall.

Health update on Marcus: Marcus is doing better. Still requires 1-2 naps a day, but he is caught up in school (after missing an entire week!). He is cautious about others using things after him. This is an example of a note he left for us in the kitchen.

Our first game of tether ball. That ball is hard! Hence my funny hitting stance and Jordan's exclamations.
