Creche Exhibit

This past weekend our church had a HUGE creche exibit. I took the kids to look at all the beautiful depictions of Christ's birth.

Marcus seemed really inspired the exhibit.

Here - in his words - are some of the things he learned. . .

We saw a bunch of nativity scenes at the church today. I learned a lot about the birth of Christ.

People present at the birth of Christ: Mary, Joseph, shepherds, Darth Vader.


Surprisingly there were no picnic baskets at the birth of bear Christ..

For the first time Snoopy wasn't the center of attention.

A little known fact but Jesus was actually born into a village where there was a really cute water girl.

Eventually this same girl would bring a young boy from the jungle named Mogli.

Yes, there was a native American Jesus.

and Dang Straight there was a guy with a mowhawk at the birth!

Yes, Jesus was black. On a side note the house of David always took first in basketball.

I really like the artist's interpretation in this one.

We can see Mary on the right is a chocolate kiss because she was one of the sweetest maidens in all the land. And the artist really captured Joseph's excitement for her.

Even at the cat savior's birth...

There was a drummer kitten.

Joseph, loving father. Master carpenter. 1/4 dementor.
