I took Benjamin to work with me today. I didn't want to stay long, and I felt guilty about leaving him at home. This solved both problems. Benajmin took a pad and pencils to draw with.
Upon arrival he happily set up at my desk beside me and began to draw cartoon characters. Then he started to explore stuff on my desk. A stapler, a keyboard cleaner, my phone, my drawers. Then he took a short walk around the office.
Soon he settled back down and began to 'work' on his stuff. Soon I looked over to see what he was working so hard on. He was compiling a To Do list. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.
A few minutes after making the list he looked over at me and stated, "On my To Do list it says 'Go to lunch.' So, can we?" He was so hard working, how could I say no?
After helping me with some work we went to the Fire Museum (I work at the Fire Department Complex) and then to Carl's Jr. Ben said they had bigger burgers than Burger King, and he wanted to eat there. After finishing a "Super Star" (double meat cheeseburger) and his drink we arrived home.
Before getting out of the car he checked off the first 4 items on his list. Not bad. 1pm and almost half-way done with his list!
I am happy to say that he used his list to help direct him the rest of the day too. What a great organizer! Now - if we could only get him to apply that to school work, the 'confrence' (parent-teacher conference) would have gone much smoother!

lol cute! He'll be a good organizer when he gets older. So, you never call me and I never know what you are doing? For instance....a job? You didn't write about that...I am boycotting my blog until I get details or you call me....haha
His list making thrills me. Seriously, I am a HUGE fan of organization. My heart is beaming for your little cutie.
